Horst Faber (born 1921) is a German former figure skater who competed internationally in a single run .

Horst Faber started for the SC Riessersee . In 1939, the last year before the competition break due to the Second World War , Faber won the bronze medal at the figure skating world championships in Budapest and at the European championships in Davos , both times behind the British Graham Sharp and Freddie Tomlins . In the previous year he missed the podium in both competitions with fourth place, but established himself as the best German figure skater after the Ernst Baier era . The World War and the subsequent ban on German athletes prevented him from further success. In 1951 the nine-time German champion competed again at the European Championship, twelve years after his last major international appearance. Despite the long break, he achieved his best international placement when he won the European runner-up title in Zurich behind the Austrian Helmut Seibt and ahead of the Italian Carlo Fassi .

At the first German ice dance championships in 1950, he became ice dance master at the side of Eva Prawitz , whom he married in 1950.
