Heiko Fischer
Heiko Fischer (born February 25, 1960 in Stuttgart , † November 21, 1989 in Sindelfingen ) was a German figure skater .
Life
Heiko Fischer was five times German champion. He trained with Karel Fajfr and started for the TUS Stuttgart . At German championships he won against Norbert Schramm and Rudi Cerne . The tall athlete was a very good compulsory runner, whose freedoms were characterized by their athletic jumps. In terms of artistic expression, he lagged behind his West German colleagues Schramm and Cerne in an international comparison.
Fischer collapsed playing squash on November 21, 1989. He died of chronic and acute myocarditis in the Sindelfingen hospital. Fischer was married and had a son.
The Heiko Fischer Cup has been held in Stuttgart since 1991 in memory of Heiko Fischer.
