Norbert Schramm (born April 7, 1960 in Nuremberg ) is a former German figure skater .

Life

Schramm started figure skating at the age of six. Erich Zeller was his trainer for nine years . He trained at the national performance center in Oberstdorf and started for the EC Oberstdorf . His teammates included Rudi Cerne and Heiko Fischer . Schramm was two-time European champion and runner-up world champion as well as multiple German champion in figure skating. Despite his trainer Zeller, who was famous for his emphasis on compulsory figures, Schramm was someone in his active time who could fall behind in compulsory running. His strengths lay in the freestyle, which, unlike most runners in the competition, he performed with modern music arrangements . He gained fame through extraordinary choreographies , bizarre pirouettes in a variation of the classic Libra pirouette , quick step combinations and wild jumps such as the Russian splay jump , as well as unusual costumes. He jumped the Toeloop and Salchow in combinations and individually as a triple jump, the Axel was the most difficult jump for him too.

For his sporting successes he was awarded the Silver Laurel Leaf by Federal President Carstens.

In 1984 he switched to the pros and became professional world champion in Washington D. C. , USA . He appeared at the ice revue Holiday on Ice and other exhibition events. From 1988 to 1992 he studied business administration at the University of Augsburg and from 1996 to 1998 public relations and public relations at the PR college of the University of Management and Communication (FH), Potsdam .

In 1997 he suffered from unilateral facial paralysis . From 2002 to 2007 he was the artistic director of the ice shows at Europa-Park in Rust . In 2006, RTL commissioned him for the live show Dancing on Ice as ice skating expert and head coach for celebrities. He also produces ice shows, directs and develops choreographies for stage and television shows.

After his first divorce in April 2006, Schramm took a break for almost two years. During this time he traveled to South America and spent a long time in Quito , Ecuador and Buenos Aires , Argentina . In January 2009 he took part in the RTL reality show I'm a star - get me out of here! Part.

Norbert Schramm is the father of a daughter and currently lives in Sonthofen in the Allgäu . He works as a real estate specialist in Deggendorf.
