Leopold Maier-Labergo

Leopold Maier-Labergo (* 1908 in Salzburg ; † May 9, 1939 in Winnipeg ) was a German figure skater who started in a single run .

Life

Leopold Maier-Labergo was German champion in men's figure skating three times in a row from 1930 to 1932 . He was fifth in the 1931 World Cup in the same discipline. He never took part in the Winter Olympics or European championships . Maier-Labergo started for the Munich EV . His trainer was Ludwig Niedermayer .

After his amateur career, Leopold Maier-Labergo became a professional runner in Canada . He then worked as a teacher at the Music Academy in Winnipeg .
