Oskar Uhlig was a German figure skater who started in a single run . He is the first European figure skating champion in history.
Uhlig started for the Berlin ice skating club in 1886 . In 1891 in Hamburg he won the first European figure skating championships in history, well ahead of his compatriots Anon Schmitson and Franz Zilly .
In 1893 he was elected chairman of the Berlin ice skating club, for which he started. In 1894 he worked as a referee for speed skating events and in 1909 as a judge at the World Figure Skating Championships .
