European figure skating championship 1891
The 1st European Figure Skating Championship was the first event of its kind. It took place on January 23 and 24, 1891 in Hamburg and was organized by the German and Austrian Ice Skating Association. There was only one men's competition and there were only mandatory figures. The first European champion in figure skating was Oskar Uhlig from the German Empire .
