Karel Fajfr

Karel Fajfr (also German Karl Pfeifer ; born September 7, 1943 in Brno , Moravia ) is a German figure skating coach of Czech origin.

Life

Karel Fajfr started figure skating at the age of six. In the years 1964 to 1967 he won the Czechoslovak runner-up in pair skating four times . After the Prague Spring 1968, Fajfr fled to Germany . In Stuttgart , he first completed his architectural studies at, after which he worked for the New home (until 1985).

Since 1980 Fajfr worked as a trainer at TUS Waldau Stuttgart, where he brought his daughter Scarlett to the German youth championship in 1981. He recorded his greatest international successes at the same time with pair runners Tina Riegel and Andreas Nischwitz . Other athletes trained by Fajfr were Heiko Fischer († 1989), Susanne Scheibe , Cornelia Tesch and Astrid Hochstetter .

In 2002 Fajfr returned to the German figure skating scene as coach of the two-time German champion Susanne Stadlmüller . He works at the ice sports center in Oberstdorf , where he looked after the multiple German champion Annette Dytrt and the pair skaters Maylin Wende and Daniel Wende .

Allegations of abuse

With crude training methods, Fajfr made negative headlines for the first time in 1991 when a slap in the face against the then German master Daniel Weiss became public. After two young Stuttgart runners incriminated Fajfr for abuse and sexual assault in autumn 1994 , the public prosecutor opened an investigation against him . On 4 December 1995 Fajfr by the Second was criminal division of the district court Stuttgart for maltreatment of charges , sexual abuse of wards in eleven cases and assault in two cases to two years imprisonment on probation and a fine of a total of 25,000 Mark sentenced as well as a three-year Occupation ban proven. An application for revision was rejected by the Federal Court of Justice .

In July 2019, a former figure skater from Würzburg made new allegations against Karel Fajfr Publik.
