Christina "Tina" Riegel , married Jöst (born August 25, 1965 in Stuttgart , Baden-Wuerttemberg ), is a former German figure skater who competed individually and in pairs for the Federal Republic of Germany .

In the eighties, Christina Riegel was one of the most famous German figure skaters alongside Norbert Schramm and Rudi Cerne . She started both in the individual run for women and in the pair run, here together with Andreas Nischwitz . Riegel started for TuS Stuttgart. Your trainer for pairs was Karel Fajfr .

Riegel was German pair skating champion from 1979 to 1981 alongside Andreas Nischwitz . In 1981 Riegel and Nischwitz celebrated their greatest successes. First they were runner- up in Innsbruck behind Irina Vorobjowa and Igor Lissowski and then won the bronze medal at the World Championships in Hartford . After a serious ankle injury and the constant harassment and abuse of her coach, she ended her career shortly before her 17th birthday.

After the end of her figure skating career in 1981, she worked for some time at the television station Das Erste (for example as an assistant to Rudi Carrell in the first 5 episodes of the Saturday night show Die verflixte 7 ). She is a trained beautician and lives with her husband, a fitness trainer, and their children, two daughters and a son, in Stuttgart . She currently works as a podiatrist . Her last TV appearance was for the program Info.Markt (SWR) on November 23, 2006 on the subject of "Ice skates for children".
