Anna "Annie" Hübler (born January 2, 1885 in Munich ; † July 5, 1976 there ) was a German figure skater who started in pair skating .
On October 29, 1908, she became the first ever German female Olympic champion. Shortly before, Elsa Rendschmidt was the first German woman to win an Olympic medal. Hübler started for the Munich EV .
Hübler celebrated her greatest successes as a pair runner together with Heinrich Burger . At the Olympic Games in London in 1908 , the couple won the first ever competition in figure skating for couples in the Olympic program. In the same year and again in 1910 , Burger and Hübler also became the first pair skating world champions in history. European championships for couples weren't introduced until 1930.
After her figure skating career, Hübler trained as an actress and soprano in Munich from 1913. She then worked as a soubrette and actress at the Stadttheater Bremen and the Münchner Kammerspiele .
In 1918 she married the department store owner Ernst Horn and worked on the management of the department store on Stachus . After the Second World War , she was instrumental in the reconstruction of two department stores.
