Karl Mejstrik was an Austrian figure skater who started in pair skating .

He became the first Austrian pair skating champion with Helene Engelmann in 1913 and world champion in Stockholm . In 1914 the couple Christa von Szabó and Leo Horwitz had to admit defeat at the Austrian championships and were runner-up behind Ludowika Jakobsson-Eilers and Walter Jakobsson from Finland, who had relegated them to silver the previous year.

Due to the First World War, there were no world championships from 1915 to 1921. This took Mejstrik's chance for further success during this period. After the break in the world war, Helene Engelmann started with Alfred Berger . From 1927 Mejstrik was active as a professional figure skater outside of Austria.
