James Henry Johnson (* 1874 ; † November 15, 1921 in Paddington , London ) was a British figure skater who started in pair skating .

Johnson came from a family who made a fortune in the coal mining industry, which allowed him to devote much of his time to figure skating.

Together with his wife and ice skating partner Phyllis Johnson , he won the silver medal at the 1908 Olympic Games in London , the first to include figure skating as a discipline.

The two Johnsons also took part in the world championship in 1908 and, as in the Olympic Games, won the silver medal behind Anna Hübler and Heinrich Burger from the German Empire . In their absence they became world champions in Stockholm in 1909 and in Manchester in 1912 . In 1910 they won the bronze medal.
