Andrei Wassiljewitsch Buschkow ( Russian Андрей Васильевич Бушков ; born October 13, 1969 in Otradnoye ) is a former Russian figure skater who started in pair skating .

Buschkow's figure skating partner was initially Julia Liaschenko. With her he was third at the Junior World Championship in 1988. But he had international success with the seniors with his second figure skating partner Marina Jelzowa .

Buschkow began figure skating at the age of eight and was then trained by Andrei Suraikin . He then moved to Igor Moskvin until 1993, later the couple was coached by Natalia Pavlova. They started for the Jubilejni sports club.

At the side of Yeltsova he was Russian champion in pair skating in 1995, 1997 and 1998. The couple won only two medals at European championships , but two gold medals . They succeeded in doing so at their first European Championship, in Helsinki in 1993 and a second time in Paris in 1997 . They won their first medal at world championships with bronze in 1994 in Chiba . In 1996 Buschkow and Jelzowa were world champions in Edmonton . A year later it was enough for the silver medal in Lausanne . They finished their only Olympic Games in Nagano in 1998 in seventh place.

In 1999 both ended their amateur careers . Andrei Buschkow obtained his coaching license at the Sports Academy in Saint Petersburg . Today Buschkow is a trainer in Lake Arrowhead , California .
