Igor Borissowitsch Moskwin ( Russian Игорь Борисович Москвин , English Igor Moskvin , born August 30, 1929 in Brjansk , Russian SFSR , Soviet Union ) is a former Soviet figure skater who started in pair skating and a former Soviet and Russian figure skating.

Moskvin was on the side of Maija Belenkaya 1952 to 1954 Soviet master in pair skating. In 1956, the couple played their only European championship and finished them in eleventh place. In addition to his figure skating career , he also took part in yacht races and won several regattas in the 1950s .

After his active competitive career, Moskvin became a trainer in Leningrad . His students included Tamara Bratus , Larissa Selesnjowa and Oleg Makarov , Igor Bobrin , Yuri Ovchinnikow and Vladimir Kotin .

Tamara Bratus became his student in 1957 and his wife in 1964. Together they have two daughters, Olga and Anna.

Moskvin was the standard bearer of the Soviet Union at the 1964 Olympic Games in Innsbruck .

After the introduction of the new evaluation system in 2004, he ended his coaching career.
