Marina Alexejewna Jelzowa ( Russian Марина Алексеевна Ельцова ; born February 4, 1970 in Leningrad ) is a former Russian figure skater who started in pair skating .

Yeltsova began her pair skating career on the side of Sergei Saizew. In 1988 they finished second at Skate America , but did not take part in any major championships. But she had international success with the seniors with her second figure skating partner Andrei Buschkow . The couple were trained by Natalia Pavlova. They started for the Jubilejni sports club.

Yeltsova and Buschkow were Russian champions in pair skating in 1995, 1997 and 1998. The couple won only two medals at European championships , but two gold medals . They succeeded in doing so at their first European Championship, in Helsinki in 1993 and a second time in Paris in 1997 . They won their first medal at world championships with bronze in 1994 in Chiba . In 1996 Buschkow and Jelzowa were world champions in Edmonton . A year later it was enough for the silver medal in Lausanne . They finished their only Olympic Games in Nagano in 1998 in seventh place.

In 1999 both ended their amateur careers . They then made a few appearances as professionals . Marina Jelzowa works as a trainer in Overland Park , Kansas .
