Ludwig Wrede (born October 28, 1894 , † January 1, 1965 ) was an Austrian figure skater who started in single and pair skating .

In pair skating, he became world champion with Herma Szabó in 1925 and 1927 and won the bronze medal in 1926 . After Szabó ended her career, Melitta Brunner became his figure skating partner. With her he won the bronze medal at the World Championships and the Olympic Games in 1928 . In 1929 and 1930 they became vice world champions.

In individual , he took part in all world championships from 1923 to 1930 . In 1929 he won the bronze medal. He succeeded in the same year at the European Championships . In 1924 he had already become vice European champion . At the Olympic Games in 1928 he finished eighth in singles.
