Melitta Brunner (born January 28, 1907 in Vienna , † May 26, 2003 in Philadelphia ) was an Austrian figure skater who started in single and pair skating .

In the individual run she was Austrian runner-up five times in a row from 1926 to 1930, first twice behind Herma Szabó and then three times behind Fritzi Burger . From 1928 to 1930 she took part in world championships and won her only medal with bronze at the 1929 World Championship in Budapest behind Sonja Henie and Fritzi Burger. At the Olympic Games in 1928 , she was seventh.

She was more successful in pair skating with Ludwig Wrede . In 1930 they became Austrian champions. At the world championship in 1928 they won bronze and in 1929 and 1930 they became vice world champions, first behind their compatriots Lilly Scholz and Otto Kaiser and then behind the French Andrée and Pierre Brunet . They won bronze at the 1928 Olympic Games in St. Moritz . She became a successful professional runner and married the figure skater Paul Kreckow.
