Yuri Jurjewitsch Larionow ( Russian Юрий Юрьевич Ларионов ; born August 19, 1986 in Novosibirsk ) is a Russian figure skater who starts in pair skating .

His partner was Vera Basarowa until 2014 . The couple Basarowa / Larionow trained in Perm with Lyudmila Kalinina and started for Orlenok Perm . Before that, they trained with Andrei Chekalo .

The junior vice world champions Larionow and Basarowa had their international senior debut at Skate America 2007, where they won the bronze medal straight away. Basarowa / Larionow dominated the Junior Grand Prix series in the 2007/08 season and also won their finals. However, due to a positive doping test by Larionov before the final, the couple was stripped of the gold medal and Basarova / Larionow was banned for 18 months. They came back for the 2009/10 season and made their debut at World and European Championships and the Olympic Games as third in the Russian championships . They finished fifth at the European Championships , eighth at the World Cup and eleventh at the Olympic Games . In 2011, Basarowa / Larionow won their first medal at major championships with bronze at the European Championships in Bern . They finished the world championship in Moscow in fifth place.

In December 2011, Basarowa and Larionow were Russian champions for the first time , but in the absence of the two favorite Russian couples. At the European Championships in Sheffield they won in the absence of Aljona Savchenko and Robin Szolkowy as well as Juko Kawaguti and Alexander Smirnow , the silver medal behind their compatriots Tatiana Wolossoschar and Maxim Trankow . In doing so, they set new personal bests in both segments and overall performance. At the World Championships in Nice , they finished sixth.
