Leonardo Azzola
Leonardo-Christian Azzola (born June 8, 1959 in Cluj-Napoca , Romania ) is a former German figure skater .
Leonardo Azzola initially started in a single run at German championships. He won the Nebelhorn Trophy in 1982 .
In 1983 he started for the first time at the German championships in pair skating and immediately became champion together with ice partner Claudia Massari . In 1984 the couple started at the Winter Olympics. The couple's coach was Karel Fajfr . In May 1984, Leonardo Azzola separated from the coach and thus from his ice partner. During his active ice skating career, Azzola studied dentistry. After the end of his amateur career , he went to an ice revue for a year.
Leonardo Azzola started for the TUS Stuttgart.
Dr. Leonardo Azzola works as a dentist in Gerlingen . But he also remained loyal to figure skating and is also active as a choreographer .
