Margarete Metzner , b. Klebe was a German figure skater who started in single and pair skating .
In the individual run she was German runner- up in 1917 and 1919 , first behind Thea Frenssen , then behind Elaine Winter . In 1918 she was third behind both runners.
Then Metzner competed in pair skating with Paul Metzner . In 1920 they became German champions in pair skating in Berlin . At the first world championship after the First World War , their only joint participation in the world championship, they won the bronze medal in Davos in 1922 behind the Austrians Helene Engelmann and Alfred Berger and Ludowika Jakobsson-Eilers and Walter Jakobsson , who started for Finland .
