Sven Authorsen

Sven Authorsen (born June 5, 1967 in Gütersloh , North Rhine-Westphalia ) is a former German figure skater .

Life

Sven Authorsen started figure skating when he was ten. Together with his ice dance partner Saskia Stähler, he was two-time German ice dancing champion . He started for ERV Essen . The couple's coaches were Christina Henke-Mades and Udo Dönsdorf . Sven Authorsen ended his amateur career at the age of 28 .

Sven Authorsen studied medicine . He is a specialist in orthopedics and trauma surgery in Heiligenhaus and lives with his family in Ratingen-Hösel . He is the father of twins . Since 2004 he has been an association doctor for the German Ice Skating Union. In this role, he has been in charge of the national figure skating team at the European and World Championships, as well as at the 2010 Olympics in Vancouver. Sven Authorsen also has a B coach license for figure skating and ice dancing.

From October to December 2006 he was a specialist commentator on RTL in the program Dancing on Ice .
