Alexander Gazsi [ ˈɡɒʒi ] (born October 6, 1984 in Karl-Marx-Stadt ) is a German figure skater .

Alexander Gazsi is an ice dancer . His father Sándor is Hungarian , who came to work in the GDR in 1967; his mother Olga came to Karl-Marx-Stadt in 1978 as a Soviet German resettler from Kazakhstan .

Alexander Gazsi started with Mandy Kästner until 2001 and later with Sandra Gissmann until 2004 . As a junior he was also trained by Anselika Krylowa . Since 2005 he has been running with Nelli Schiganschina among the seniors. The couple trained with Jelena Kustarowa in Moscow and Chemnitz . You became German ice dance champion in 2007 and from 2011 to 2015. Alexander Gazsi started for SC Berlin .

From 2010 the couple trained at the federal base in Oberstdorf . Your trainers were Rostislaw Sinitsyn and Martin Skotnický .

With the 2014/15 season, when the couple had to withdraw from the World Cup due to illness, Alexander Gazsi ended his active career.

In 2019 Gaszi took part as a professional ice dancer in the television program Dancing on Ice .
