Georg Fischer (born November 10, 1960 ) is a former German biathlete and cross-country skier .

Georg Fischer started for SC Ruhpolding . He first took part in 1987 in the Biathlon World Championships in Lake Placid and was there 17th in the sprint race. The following year he started in cross-country skiing at the 1988 Winter Olympics in Calgary . Over 50 kilometers he came in 34th place, with Walter Kuss , Jochen Behle and Herbert Fritzenwenger he was also seventh with the relay. In 1989 he again took part in the biathlon world championships in Feistritz an der Drau and won the silver medal with Franz Wudy , Fritzenwenger and Fritz Fischer behind the Soviet Union and in front of the Representation of the GDR in the first team race. In the sprint he was 39th nationally, Fischer won the season title in 1985, 1986 and 1990 with the representation of Bavaria.

Fischer's brothers Fritz and Markus were also active biathletes.
