Georg Frank (born December 14, 1907 in Fürth ; † November 13, 1944 at Skarżysko-Kamienna , Poland ), also called Allan , was a German football player who played exclusively for clubs in Fürth.

Frank began playing football at TV Fürth in 1860 and came to SpVgg Fürth via FC Fürth in the 1926/27 season , to which he belonged until his death and played a total of 547 games for them.

On July 28, 1929, he and his team advanced into the final of the German championship, which was won 3-2 in Nuremberg against Hertha BSC ; he managed the opening goal to 2-1 in the 66th minute.

He played a total of 16 final round matches for the German Championship, in which he scored eight goals and six for the Tschammerpokal in which he was successful with two goals.

National team

From 1927 to 1930 Frank played four international matches for the German national team . He made his debut on October 2 in Copenhagen in the 3-1 defeat against the national team of Denmark . In his second international match on February 10, 1929, which was won 7-1 in Mannheim against the Swiss national team , he scored four goals; Hanne Sobeck ( Hertha BSC ; 2) and Josef Pöttinger ( FC Bayern Munich ; 1) scored the other goals. In his third international match, which was played in Turin on April 28, 1929 against the Italian national team , he was the scorer for the 2-1 winner in the 80th minute and thus ensured the first victory over the "Squadra Azzurra" .
