Georg Grabner (born February 19, 1952 in Eichham, Teisendorf municipality ) is a CSU politician . From 1990 to 2002 he was a member of the Bavarian State Parliament and from 2002 to 2020 District Administrator of the Berchtesgadener Land district .

Life

After attending primary school, he learned the trade of a merchant in wholesale and foreign trade . In 1976–78, while working, he obtained the technical college entrance qualification via Telekolleg via the second educational path . 1978 to 1980 Grabner also attended the tax school part-time. In 1980 he passed the Chamber of Industry and Commerce examination to become an accountant . He was the head of accounting in a medium-sized industrial company and from 1985 a manager in the private construction and housing industry.

From April 1996 the Teisendorfer was President of the Bavarian Bobsleigh and Toboggan Association. Today he is treasurer of the bobsleigh and sledge association for Germany .

Political career

Grabner's political career began in the Junge Union , where he was district chairman from 1981 to 1985. During his JU-time succeeded the entry into the council of Teisendorf and 1984 in the district council . From 1987 to 2002 he was CSU district chairman. In 1990 he moved into the Bavarian State Parliament as the first candidate to vote for the district of Berchtesgadener Land. From 1998 he was a member of the Committee for State Budget and Financial Matters and was a member of the investigative committee to clarify the events at the LWS as well as housing policy spokesman for the CSU parliamentary group. In 2002 he was elected district administrator and resigned from the state parliament. In 2008 and 2014 he was confirmed in office. In the local elections in 2020, he did not run for reasons of age.

Awards

Georg Grabner was awarded the Federal Cross of Merit on ribbon. In 2012 he received the Golden Ring of Honor from the Technical University of Munich . In 2014 he was awarded the Bavarian Order of Merit.
