Georg Haberland (politician)

Georg Haberland (born October 10, 1830 in Rieden ; † February 12, 1910 in Eggenfelden ) was an artist, craftsman and member of the German Reichstag .

Life

Haberland was the son of a master carpenter, learned this trade and worked for six years in Upper Bavaria . In 1853 he passed the master craftsman's examination and then attended the trade school for three years. He learned the painting and gilding business and worked for several years as an assistant and manager, and in 1860 also took his master's degree here. He practiced this trade in Eggenfelden for over 30 years. Next he worked for the Landwehr older order Lieutenant, founded in 1865, the volunteer fire department Eggenfelden was, ten years its captain and 21 years as a member in the community college. He was also a co-founder and committee member of the Bavarian Crafts Association, representative for Lower Bavaria , and was made an honorary member of the Bavarian and German Crafts Association.

From 1884 to 1893 he was a member of the German Reichstag for the German Center Party for the constituency Niederbayern 4 ( Pfarrkirchen , Eggenfelden , Griesbach ) and from 1886 to 1892 a member of the Bavarian Chamber of Deputies .
