Georg Hille (archivist)
Georg Hille (born November 17, 1841 in Liepe, today part of Nennhausen ; † June 8, 1911 in Schleswig ) was a German historian and archivist.
Life
Hille received his doctorate in Berlin in 1866 with the Latin script De continuatore Prosperi a. 641 Havniensi . He then worked as a high school history teacher before he was entrusted with setting up the Royal State Archives in Schleswig, the forerunner of the Schleswig-Holstein State Archives, to which he remained loyal for 40 years.
