Georg Janovsky

Georg Gustav Franz Janovsky (born November 24, 1944 in Reichenberg , Reichsgau Sudetenland ) is a German politician ( CDU ). From 1990 to 2002 he was a member of the German Bundestag with the direct mandate of the constituency of Görlitz - Zittau - Niesky . Janovsky was a member of the People's Chamber of the GDR from March 18, 1990 to October 2, 1990 .

Life

Janovsky took up an apprenticeship as a concrete worker after graduating from high school in Görlitz . In 1965 he began studying at the Dresden University of Transport, which he completed in 1970 as a graduate engineer for road construction and traffic. In that year he joined the CDU block party . After working as a construction and production manager at a construction company in Weißwasser , Janovsky became a full-time functionary of the CDU from 1983. Until 1990 he was the deputy district secretary in Görlitz, and has been the district manager since then.

For the general election in 2002 Georg Janovsky came not more. Michael Kretschmer was his successor as a direct representative of the newly delimited constituency .

Between 1984 and 1990 Janovsky was a member of the city council in Görlitz .

Janovsky is a member of numerous associations. He is chairman of the Förderverein Landesmuseum Schlesien e. V. and is the president of the board of trustees Schlesische Lausitz e. V. Janovsky also belongs to the Sudeten German Council .

Georg Janovsky is Catholic and married.

He works as a management consultant and is the owner of "Janovsky Consulting" in Görlitz.
