Georg Kaul (born August 11, 1873 in Cosel , Silesia ; † May 2, 1933 in Offenbach am Main ) was a Silesian journalist and politician ( SPD ).

Georg Kaul was the son of the higher judicial officer Max Georg Kaul and his wife Luise nee Fischer. He was married to Emma Pauline nee Pfitzner and was Protestant. After studying theology, chemistry and economics in Breslau and Dresden , he worked as a journalist from 1898 , between 1910 and 1932 for the Offenbacher Abendblatt .

He joined the SPD and from 1919 to 1933 was a member of the state parliament for six electoral terms in the state parliament of the People's State of Hesse and chaired the SPD parliamentary group . He was also a city councilor in Offenbach.

He died by suicide on May 2, 1933. He is buried in the old cemetery in Offenbach .

A stumbling block was laid for Georg Kaul on February 25, 2006 at Bieberer Strasse 269 (near Leonhard-Eißnert-Park ) in Offenbach . Sponsors were the Ver.di trade union and the historical commission of the SPD.
