Georg Mack

Georg Mack (born May 15, 1899 in Auerbach ; † October 12, 1973 there ) was a German politician ( CSU ).

Life

Mack worked on his parents' farm and was a soldier in the First World War . After the war, he took over his parents' farm and set up an agricultural warehouse.

Mack was a member of the district council and the district chamber of farmers until 1933. In 1945 he became mayor of Auerbach and deputy district administrator for the district of Ansbach . In the same year he was a co-founder of the CSU in the Ansbach area, where he became a member of the district council and the district council of Middle and Upper Franconia. In 1946 he was a member of the constituent state assembly and was elected to the Bavarian state parliament, of which he was a member until 1970. From 1950 he was always elected directly to the constituency of Ansbach-Stadt and -Land. Mack was also Vice President of the Bavarian Municipal Assembly, Vice President of the German Grain, Feed and Fertilizer Trade and Honorary President of the Bavarian State Trade Association and Chairman of the Supervisory Board of the United Agricultural Merchants in Bavaria "Lagerland".

honors and awards

Georg Mack was honored with several prestigious awards for his services. Among other things, he received on December 1, 1961 for outstanding services to the Bavarian Constitution, the Bavarian Constitutional Medal in gold. In 1965 he was awarded the Great Federal Cross of Merit.
