Georg Menges (politician)

Georg Menges (born February 5, 1888 in Eberbach , † December 3, 1973 in Freiburg ) was a Baden local and state politician.

Career

After finishing school, he embarked on an administrative career. From 1919 to 1933 he was mayor of the city of Gernsbach . After the end of the Second World War, he succeeded Georg Mall in the Advisory State Assembly of the State of Baden on March 4, 1947 and was a member of the Baden State Parliament from 1947 to 1952 as a member of the Democratic Party (DemP) . After the formation of the state of Baden-Württemberg , he was a member of the state parliament of Baden-Württemberg from 1952 to 1960 .

In addition, Menges was chairman of the association of Baden municipalities, a member of the association committee of the Badischer Sparkassen- und Giroverband and a member of the administrative board of the Badische Girozentrale.
