Georg Albert (us) Ludwig Christian Freiherr von Nordeck zur Rabenau (born March 30, 1777 in Londorf ; † February 11, 1858 ibid) was a Hessian officer and politician and former member of the 1st and 2nd chambers of the state estates of the Grand Duchy of Hesse .

family

Georg von Nordeck zur Rabenau from the house of Nordeck zur Rabenau was the son of the Prussian Colonel Leopold Ludwig Philipp Freiherr von Nordeck zur Rabenau and his wife Luise Friederike Magdalene nee Freiin von Nordeck zur Rabenau. Georg von Nordeck zur Rabenau, who was a Protestant denomination, married Luise, nee Freiin von Zwierleim, widow of Ernst Friedrich Leopold von Grolman, on March 30, 1814. His son Adalbert Nordeck zur Rabenau (1817-1892) later became a member of the Reichstag. His brother Gottlieb Nordeck zur Rabenau (1776-1846) became a member of the Hessian state parliament and colonel.

Military career

Georg von Nordeck zur Rabenau became Premier-Lieutenant in the Garde du Corps , in 1812 Rittmeister 3rd and 1813 2nd class. He later became Rittmeister 1st Class, in 1823 Major, in 1833 Commander of the Gendarmerie with the rank of Lieutenant Colonel and in 1840 Colonel. In 1843 he was retired.

politics

In the 6th to 10th electoral term (1834-1847) he was a member of the second chamber of the state estates of the Grand Duchy of Hesse. In the estates he represented the landed nobility. In 1847 he was appointed a lifelong member of the first chamber. In 1848 he was a member of the preliminary parliament .
