Georg Philipp Wenger

Georg Philipp Wenger (* 1701 ; † December 21, 1763 in Neckarsulm ) was a German builder .

He was based in Neckarsulm and designed a large number of buildings there and in the wider area. In many cases he worked for the then local lord Neckarsulms, the Teutonic Order , for which he a. a. Churches like St. Kilian in Duttenberg and St. Laurentius in Neudenau were built and Heuchlingen Castle was rebuilt. In Neckarsulm he built a. a. In 1741/42 a school building, in Eschenau he rebuilt Eschenau Castle in 1746 . In Heilbronn , the city ​​orphanage was built according to his plans from 1756 to 1758 .
