Georg Reuter (composer)

Georg Reuter (* 1935 in Argentina , † 2003 in Diepholz ) was a modern classical composer .

Live and act

After studying cello and church music in Berlin , Hanover and Bremen , he was cantor in Bremen from 1967 , lecturer at the University of Bremen in 1976 and director of various choirs in Bremen and the district of Diepholz , with whom he organized numerous concerts. From 1981 to 1989 he was director of the newly founded district music school of the Diepholz district and then until 1994 its deputy director.

His compositional oeuvre (1965–1999) spans a spectrum from chamber and choral music to symphonies , oratorios and stage works ( operas , children's musicals ).
