Georg Rudolph von Glaubitz

Georg Rudolph von Glaubitz (* 1673 ; † October 1, 1740 in Kolberg ) was a royal Prussian lieutenant general and chief of garrison regiment No. 3 and a knight of the de la Générosité order .

He was born in Silesia and comes from the Glaubitz-Altengabel family . In 1693 he joined Infantry Regiment No. 11 (Jung-Holstein) and in 1694 became an ensign in a battalion in Hungary. He rose further and became major in 1709 and lieutenant colonel on November 14, 1715 . On August 4, 1718 Colonel in the infantry regiment no. 4 (Beschefer), where he was in 1731 chief and in 1733 Major General . In July 1740 King Friedrich II appointed him lieutenant general. Because of his age he got his departure and a pension of 1500 Talers, as well as the garrison regiment No. 3 in Kolberg. He resigned on September 7, 1740 and died on October 1, 1740.

He was married to Maria Luise von Kameke († July 8, 1759) in 1713 . She was the widow of Heinrich von Kameke (* 1644, † October 17, 1710). The couple had children.
