Georg Rudolph von Welck
Georg Rudolph von Welck (* 1796 ; † June 28, 1875 in Dresden ) was a Saxon governor and politician .
Live and act
He was the son of the post office director and councilor Otto Carl Rudolph von Welck (1744–1796) and his wife Karoline Christiane Sophie Rummel. His father died the same year he was born, so that from then on his mother had to run the household in Leipzig on her own .
In 1816 he enrolled at the University of Leipzig together with his cousin Curt Robert Freiherr von Welck .
He became official governor in Zwickau and as such an honorary citizen of that city in 1869 .
From 1833/34 to 1839/40 Welck represented the 15th urban constituency in the II Chamber of the Saxon State Parliament .
