Curt Robert Freiherr von Welck (born January 31, 1798 in Meißen , † June 14, 1866 in Oberlößnitz ) was a Saxon manor owner and politician .

The son of the district administrator Karl Wolfgang Maximilian von Welck in Meißen and his second wife Wilhelmine Friederike Henriette Countess von Seydewitz from the house of Pülswerda received their first education from a private tutor. From May 16, 1816 he studied together with his cousin Georg Rudolph von Welck at the University of Leipzig , where he made numerous friendly contacts with noble fellow students. He completed his studies on May 19, 1820 with the exam.

In the years 1824, 1830 and 1831 he took part in the Saxon state assemblies as a representative of the general knightly estates of the Erzgebirge district . He is named as the manor owner on Oberrabenstein , which actually belonged to his half-brother Georg Ludwig Freiherrn von Welck . On December 31, 1824 or 1825 he married Freiin Emma Luise von Beust (born November 13, 1805 in Gansgrün ; † January 27, 1892 in Serkowitz ). In the same year he and his brother Georg, who, however, ceded his share to him as early as 1826, bought the Riesa manor for 220,000 thalers , to which the town still belonged as a dominion. From 1825 to 1835 Welck was bailiff of Rochlitz and during this time he sat on the neighboring Gut Neutaubenheim . He was then from 1835 to 1838 governor of the Rochlitz governorate . He retired to Riesa, where he again took on the role of governor, and at the same time took up the post of deputy president of the estates of the Meißnischer Kreis . He later chaired this body. At the first constitutional Saxon state parliament in 1833/34 he was deputy member of the manor owners of the Meißner Kreis in the II. Landtag Chamber. As a manor owner by royal appointment, he belonged to Chamber I from 1836 to 1864. He was also the capitular of the Evangelical Collegiate Foundation Wurzen .

In Oberlößnitz he settled in 1861 in the midst of belonging to him Gutsanlage "jun Ziller." By the builder ( Moritz Ziller ) build a gotisierendes, castle-like mansion with corner tower. In 1863, a neo-Gothic coach house built by Ziller (No. 34) followed near the manor house. Welck died in Oberlößnitz.
