Georg Schacht

Georg Schacht (born March 23, 1820 in Braunschweig ; †?) Was a newspaper editor and member of the German Reichstag .

Life

Schacht attended secondary school, later the grammar school and college Carolinum in his hometown from 1841 to 1845. He studied at the universities of Berlin and Bonn , in 1848 and 1849 he was in France and England. In 1874 he received his doctorate as Dr. phil.

Until 1853 he was an employee and editor-in-chief of the Deutsche Reichs-Zeitung , in 1859 he was present when the national association was founded in Frankfurt. Schacht was the owner of a manor in Lieskau , Spremberg district .

From 1873 to 1879 he was a member of the Prussian House of Representatives and from 1874 to 1877 of the German Reichstag for the constituency Frankfurt 9 ( Cottbus , Spremberg) and the National Liberal Party .
