Georg Schwerdtfeger
Georg Schwerdtfeger (born October 14, 1920 , † September 27, 2005 ) was a German agricultural scientist and specialist book author.
Life
Schwerdtfeger studied agricultural science at the Georg-August University of Göttingen and received his doctorate there as well. From 1950 to 1959 was at the Chamber of Agriculture Hanover and Weser-Ems. There he gave courses. From 1959 until his retirement in 1985 he was a professor at the Northeast Lower Saxony University of Applied Sciences ( civil engineering ) in Suderburg (later University of Lüneburg , today Ostfalia University of Applied Sciences ).
Works
Together with Herbert Kuntze and Günter Roeschmann , Schwerdtfeger wrote the second edition of the book Soil Science, which is considered the standard work in German-speaking countries, in the UTB-Verlag .
