Georg Weissenborn
Georg Weißenborn (born April 11, 1816 in Varchentin , † June 4, 1874 in Marburg ) was a German philosopher and university professor.
Life
Georg Friedrich Ludwig Weißenborn, son of the Varchentin pastor Carl Weißenborn, attended grammar school in Neustrelitz and from 1838 studied theology in Halle with Tholuck and Roediger and philosophy with Erdmann and Schaller. After studying in Berlin and Rostock in 1840, Weißenborn received his doctorate in Halle a year later. In May 1843 he completed his habilitation and taught in Halle until 1853, when he went to Marburg as a professor of philosophy .
