Georg Wilhelm Bartholdy
Georg Wilhelm Bartholdy (born August 27, 1765 in Kolberg , † May 26, 1815 in Stettin ) was a German educator , magazine publisher and writer .
Life
Bartholdy first attended the high school in Kolberg and from 1780 to 1783 the academic high school in Stettin . He then studied at the University of Halle with Semler , Rösselt and Knapp, was from 1787 to 1790 in the Gedikesche seminar for the education of teachers in Berlin and until 1797 teacher at the local grammar school. On June 30, 1797 he was appointed to teach mathematics and physics at the (later United Royal and City) Gymnasium in Stettin. Most recently he was a school councilor and director of the educational seminar. He died of exhaustion in 1815.
