Karl Georg Heinrich Friedrich Wilhelm Otto Fürchtegott Zülch (born July 19, 1870 in Carlshafen , † August 31, 1942 in Groß Grabow ) was a German lawyer and politician ( DNVP ).

Life and work

Georg Zülch was born the son of a cigar manufacturer. After attending elementary school and a private school as well as graduating from high school in Höxter , he began studying law , economics , philosophy and history at the universities in Marburg and Greifswald , which he completed with the first state examination in law. During his studies in 1889 he became a member of the Germania Marburg fraternity . After completing his studies, he joined the judiciary and worked as a trainee lawyer at the Higher Regional Court. After he had passed the second state examination in law, he worked as a lawyer in Northeim . From 1932 Zülch lived in Berlin-Schlachtensee .

Georg Zülch had been married to Lilly von Brincken since 1901 , with whom he had three sons and four daughters. The sixth child was the future neuroscientist Klaus-Joachim Zülch .

politics

Zülch initially served as mayor of the city ​​of Wilster . He became second mayor in 1903, first mayor in 1908 and was mayor of the city ​​of Allenstein from 1910 to 1932 . In addition, he was a member of the Provincial Parliament of the Province of East Prussia . In the general election in November 1932 , he was for the German National People's Party (DNVP) in the German Reichstag voted, where he remained until March 1933rd
