Georg Zoller
Georg Zoller (born February 7, 1852 in Söflingen near Ulm , † January 26, 1941 in Ehingen ) was a German organist , composer and choir director .
Live and act
Georg Zoller attended the teacher training college in Schwäbisch Gmünd and from 1872 worked as a private tutor in the Graf von Maldeghem family in Niederstotzingen . From 1878 he studied church music at the Stuttgart Conservatory , a. a. with Immanuel Faißt and Gottfried Linder . From 1883 he worked as organist and choir director in Ehingen at the parish church of St. Blasius and the Konviktskirche, as well as the conductor of the Liedertafel and as a music teacher at the Konvikt and at the grammar school. In 1885 he was appointed Episcopal Organ Reviser and Bell Inspector and in 1891 he was appointed Royal Music Director. In the same year he was one of the organists who played at the inauguration concert of the great Walcker organ (op. 559) in Helsinki Cathedral . Zoller retired in 1934.
As a composer, Zoller created organ works and sacred choral music.
