George of Fabrice

Georg Friedrich von Fabrice (born October 18, 1830 in Neustrelitz , † February 25, 1908 in Strelitz-Alt ) was a German administrative lawyer.

Life

Georg von Fabrice came from the Mecklenburg line of Fabrice (noble family) . He was a son of the Mecklenburg-Strelitz Oberlandjägermeister and chamberlain August Georg Adolf Friedrich von Fabrice (1784-1832). The Oberlanddrost August von Fabrice was his older brother.

Fabrice attended the Carolinum grammar school (Neustrelitz) until he graduated from high school in 1850. He studied law at the Georg-August University in Göttingen and was active in the Corps Bremensia in 1851 . As an inactive , he moved to the Friedrich-Wilhelms-Universität zu Berlin and for the winter semester 1852/53 to the University of Rostock . In 1853/54 he did his service as a one-year volunteer in the Neustrelitz battalion. From April 1854 he continued his studies in Rostock. In 1857, after passing his exams, he entered the service of the Grand Duchy of Mecklenburg-Strelitz as an auditor and chamberlain at the Mirow office . He was employed as a trainee lawyer in the judicial office of the Bailiwick of Schönberg . After passing the judge's examination, he worked in the domain office and district court Feldberg , then in Mirow. In 1866 he became assessor of the Grand Ducal Chamber and Forestry College.

In 1869 he was appointed Drost for the Strelitz office. In 1871 he became a cabinet official and chief inspector of the Strelitz insane and penal institution . Until 1906 he was also head of the road commission. In 1893 he was appointed Landdrost and in 1904 Oberlanddrost.
