George Garcia

George Garcia (born January 18, 1973 in Almuñécar ) is a German-Spanish singer-songwriter / composer , producer, artist manager and conductor for cinema and television music.

Life

George Garcia was born in Andalusia and moved to Munich at the age of six .

From 2002 Garcia worked in the music industry. During his marketing studies he worked as a product manager for Nena's children's label "Zwerkwerk". After completing his studies in 2003, Garcia was label manager for Mike Batt's record company Dramatico until 2010 . There Garcia looked after the artists Aṣa , Caro Emerald , Geoffrey Gurrumul Yunupingu , Jem , Marianne Faithfull and Sarah Blasko, among others . He also worked with the musician Katie Melua , whose breakthrough in Germany, Austria and Switzerland Garcia was instrumental in, according to the music magazine Mediabiz . In 2006 he produced Eva Mattes ' singing debut , the jazz album Language of Love .

In 2007 Garcia began producing and recording the psalms audio book Vom Aufstieg der Sonne for Hänssler Verlag , on which Nina Petri , Xavier Naidoo and Nina Ruge contributed, among others . In the same year he composed and arranged the score for the feature film Vorne ist verdammt weit weg with Erwin Pelzig with Oliver Hahn . In 2008/2009 the production and recording of the second psalm audio book Das Wasser des Lebens (Hänssler / Warner) followed.

In the course of 2010 Garcia went into business for himself and built his own label "Autentico Music" and the publishing house of the same name. From 2013 to 2015 he was the managing director of the music label “Modulquadrat”, where he signed the Alin Coen Band , among others .

In 2015 Garcia composed his own songs. The debut EP Mittendrin was released in 2017, followed by the album Every Day Counts a year later .
