George Trumbull Miller

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

George Trumbull Miller (* 1943 in Scotland ) is an Australian film and television director and producer who often only calls himself George Miller in the credits of his films . Due to the similarity of his names, he is often confused with the better-known George Miller . So he tried to differentiate himself for a while with the middle initial "T" in his name. However, George Trumbull Miller remained in the scale and success of his films in the shadow of his namesake.

George Miller made television series for Australian television for many years until his film debut with Snowy River in 1982 . It became his greatest success. Another well-known film as a director was the sequel The Neverending Story II , which, however, failed the general criticism. It was followed by small Hollywood movies in children's and family entertainment such as B. André (1994) and Zeus and Roxanne (1997), always intermittently interrupted by some films mostly made for US television. Most recently, George Miller shot exclusively for television since the late 1990s. His last directorial work to date was published in 2005.
