action
The single marine biologist Mary Beth is interested in the dolphin named Roxanne, who has been released from captivity, but who does not want to join his conspecifics in the new freedom. On one of her boat trips to see the dolphin, Zeus, her neighbor Terry's dog, snuck on board. Mary Beth notices that Zeus and Roxanne seem to be able to "talk" to each other.
Mary Beth later falls in love with her neighbor Terry, a single father, and their children have helped a lot with the first hookups. Together they manage to save the dolphin, which is threatened by kidnapping.
