Majandra Delfino (* 20th February 1981 in Caracas as Maria Alejandra Delfino ) is a Venezuelan actress and singer .

biography

At the age of three, she moved to Miami , Florida with her Italian mother, American father, and older sister . There she first attended school and later founded a girls band called "China Doll" with her friend Samantha Gibb (daughter of Bee Gees singer Maurice Gibb ). The girls had mediocre success as the opening act for various bands, but Majandra wanted to act. Before long, she was seen in school plays. When she was 10 years old, she starred in " The Nutcracker " with the Miami Ballet.

Her parents, however, were not very enthusiastic about her attempts at acting, but they gave her six months to realize her dream. And after just a few months she had a role in the film " Zeus & Roxanne ", alongside her future Roswell co-star Miko Hughes . A little later she had her next role in "The Tony Danza Show" (German title: " A father to kiss "). The show was soon canceled, but the agency remembered Majandra.

A few movie roles later, Majandra decided to audition for a new teen drama series, " Roswell ". Because she feared that she would not get the role because of her age, she lied to the producers that she was 18. The lie was exposed, but she was hired anyway.

In addition to acting, music also remained a passion of Majandra. She continued to write songs. She can also be heard a few times in Roswell . She later met Anthony Rodriguez, who was producing her first album.

Despite acting, music always remained one of Majandra's passions. She went on to write her own songs. She later met Anthony Rodriguez, the producer for her first album "The Sicks", on which 7 songs can be found that give a deep insight into Majandras soul. After a few sold-out shows in New York, Philadelphia and Los Angeles, she even went to Paris, where she met the French singer RoBERT. With her she recorded the cult hit “Le prince bleu”. On September 14, 2002, Majandra Delfino gave her only European concert to date in the “Café de la danse” in Paris. She sang all of the songs on her album as well as 2 cover songs. She also introduced three new songs: "Voodoo", "Pop Crack" and "Heaven Scent". On April 24, 2007 the album "Tarte" was released. Majandra is working on a new album that she would like to write and produce herself.

Private

During the filming of the series Roswell Delfino was in a relationship with her series friend Brendan Fehr . After the series ended, this on / off relationship also broke up. Delfino was then married to actor Devon Gummersall , the marriage divorced in 2008. Delfino has been married to actor David Walton since March 2011 . Their first child, a girl, was born on June 14, 2012 in Los Angeles . The second child, a son, followed on November 10, 2013.
