Miko John Hughes (born February 22, 1986 in Apple Valley , California ) is an American actor , director and singer .

Private life

Hughes was born in Apple Valley, California in 1986 to Mary (née Phelps) and John Hughes, a special effects technician.

He has three siblings: Mike, Mitch and Molly. Miko Hughes is of Indian origin, his first name, which is pronounced Me-ko, means "chief" in the language of the Chickasaw - Indians . He is also a beekeeper and singer and often appears at horror film conventions.

Career

His first appearance as an actor was in a commercial for public institutions at the age of 22 months , and he had his first role in the film Friedhof der Kuscheltiere at the age of 27 months. The following year, Miko Hughes had another breakthrough role as the "Boys Have A Penis, Girls Have A Vagina" kid in Kindergarten Cop with Arnold Schwarzenegger . Because of these two roles, Hughes became a sought-after child actor.

One of his most striking appearances in a television series is that of the extroverted, often cheeky Aaron Bailey in the comedy series Full House , a character that Hughes embodied in twelve episodes. He also played as a guest actor in various television series.

His most famous role in a feature film was that of Simon Lynch in Mercury Rising alongside Bruce Willis . To prepare for his role of an autistic boy, Hughes met with affected children.

He became a writer and director in 2013 when he created the SEE segment in Chilling Visions: 5 Senses of Fear .

Miko Hughes won three Young Artist Awards , and was nominated six more times. He was also nominated for a Saturn Award in 1995 in the “Best Young Actor” category for his performance in Freddy's New Nightmare .
