Georges Breitman
Georges Breitman (born March 27, 1920 in Paris ; † January 27, 2014 ibid.) Was a French pole vaulter and decathlete .
In pole vault he was sixth at the European Athletics Championships in Oslo in 1946 . At the International University Games in 1947 he won silver, and at the Olympic Games in London in 1948 he was eliminated from the qualification. A silver medal at the World Festival of Youth and Students in 1949 was followed by a ninth place at the EM 1950 .
At the Olympic Games in Helsinki in 1952 , he broke off the decathlon after five disciplines.
In 1946 and 1953 he was French champion in pole vault. His personal best in this discipline of 4.11 m he set on August 1, 1949 in London .
