Georgiana "Geo" Martin Stoleru (born March 24, 1982 in Piatra Neamț ) is a Romanian handball goalie .

Career

Stoleru began her active career at AS FibrexNylon Săvineşti ; The 176 cm tall goalkeeper took part with the team in the first edition of the EHF Challenge Cup in the 2000/01 season and reached the semi-finals there. With the Municipal HC Roman Neamt Stoleru reached the semi-finals of the Challenge Cup again in the 2006/07 season. Then she was under contract with CSM Sfântu Gheorghe and HC Oțelul Galați . After the birth of their first child, Stoleru guarded the gate at CS Politehnica Iași and CSM Bistrița before signing a contract with CSM Unirea Slobozia in the summer of 2013 . In the 2016/17 season , Stoleru took part in the EHF Cup with HCM Roman , ten years after her last European Cup participation with the same club. In the summer of 2017, the Romanian moved to the German fourth division club HSG Hunsrück . In the Oberliga , the team was runner-up twice in a row and secured their first participation in the DHB Cup by winning the Rhineland Cup in January 2019 .

Stoleru has two children. With her sister Carmen Dumitrița Stoleru , who was born in 1986 , she sometimes played together at Municipal HC Roman Neamt / HCM Roman.
